Pathway International
Pathway International was founded by Simon Karo in November 2007.
Our vision is that the best healthcare is not limited to one location alone, but can be accessed in a world without boundaries. We believe that by extending healthcare globally, our members can access better quality care, superior technology and more affordable costs, and also experience endless opportunities of culture, education, languages, history and art, while forming new friendships through our organization which was established for the purpose of promoting and growing medical tourism in Africa.
Our areas of focus include developing commercial activities in diverse medical fields, such as facilitating medical services to our clients; supporting doctors in a variety of leading hospitals and medical centres; medical technology transfer; deployment of modern medical equipment and initiation and management of medical projects.
Pathway International has a team of experts in a range of professional areas, including: pharmaceuticals; medicine; medical technologies; construction and operation of hospitals, medical and diagnostic centres; and diverse healthcare-related insurance.

The Process:
You will be assigned a case manager whom will receive your medical records. They will then email the doctors directly to ask them questions, and follow the process step by step. Pathway International will help with all of your travel arrangements. From having someone at the airport to pick you up on arrival and take you to your hotel , or to the hospital depending on your situation, to making sure that you have someone who speaks English, French or another language (as needed) available to assist you with any questions or problems you have any time of the day.
As you browse through our website you will find many different procedures we can help you with. Even if a procedure may not be listed on our website we are still able to help. With our connections in the medical arena we are able to find a state-of-the-art facility that can help you with just about any procedure you can think of.
A member of the Pathway International team has visited each and every hospital. Most of the surgeons that Pathway International work, are on a first name basis with them. It is a policy for Pathway International to make sure that the hospitals are clean, safe and of high quality. We also find it important to experience travelling to that country ourselves and see how difficult it is to get to the hospital from the airport, how comfortable the hotels are, assess the food, the language and the airport policies. It is important for us that when sending someone to a hospital or clinic abroad they are able to communicate with the doctors and nurses. We make sure that you will not be sent to a country where you are unable to communicate with anyone. Travelling abroad can be overwhelming, and to know that you will have someone there to guide you who is able to speak your native tongue will be a huge comfort.
Costs:
We will get an estimate of your costs from the hospital before you travel, and your payment will be made to the hospital, when you are ready to be discharged.
Border-less Medicine:
At Pathway International we believe in border-less medicine and patient empowerment. Pathway believes in removing all borders of medicine including geographical, financial and political. You as a patient should have the freedom to choose where you receive your healthcare, whether it is across national lines or across the globe.
