February 4th, is World Cancer Day, when organizations and people around the world unite to raise awareness about cancer and work together making it a global health priority. Last Year The Union for International Cancer Control, which organizes World Cancer Day, launched a 3-year campaign with the theme: “I Am and I Will.” It calls for a personal commitment to help reduce the global burden of cancer.
Non-communicable diseases, including cancer is one of the World Health Organization’s “Ten threats to global health.” Cancer is the second leading cause of death worldwide. Together, We Will Change that.
This World Cancer Day, we’re asking for your personal commitment to take positive action against Cancer. We believe that we can reduce the number of premature deaths from Cancer and non-communicable diseases by one third by 2030 if we all take action today.
